PE
At Gleadless, we know that participating in sports provides a range of benefits for the children in our school, encompassing physical, mental and social well-being.
Regular physical activity improves fitness and reduces the risk of obesity, enhancing overall health. Furthermore, sports participation fosters teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills, while also boosting confidence, self-esteem, and mental resilience.
The school uses 'Get Set 4 PE' to support the delivery of our PE curriculum. We offer children the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in a wide range of sports across their school career.
Each half term, children focus two specific aspects on PE (see Long Term plan below)
